I am a stay-at-home mom who fell in love with jewelry and jewelry design by
accident. A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate, I worked in
several different fields before attending Hollins University’s graduate creative
writing program. Shortly after graduating, I had my daughter Georgia (now 7) and
my son Henry (5). Then I learned something surprising -- taking care of small
children is not conducive to writing the great American novel!
A few years ago, I turned my creative impulses towards designing and making
jewelry, first for my friends and family. Happily, my work found a broader
audience, and here I am.
My fine silver and bronze pieces are hand-crafted in my studio, often from molds I have made from vintage buttons and costume jewelry. I am drawn to images of animals and nature, and the beautiful mountains of my home in Southwest Virginia provide continual inspiration.
I hope you enjoy wearing my work as much as I enjoy making it.
